There are somethings named "WIN.INI_RUN" and "WIN.INI_LOAD" running on my task manager and WIN Patrol Ive never seen before. What are they, and how do I fix them?

These are not necessarily malicious. Win Patrol is a monitoring program you must have downloaded at some point. The others are Windows files.

Go to Windows support are search these items and then decide if they necessary on your machine.

First of all, ensure your virus checker is fully up-to-date and do a full system scan. There are trojans which modify your win.ini file, and if so you need to get rid of it as soon as possible. If you don't have a good anti-virus program, try downloading Avast! which is free and better than most of the expensive ones.

If nothing is flagged as a virus, you are probably OK. But it might also be worth running a check for spyware (AdAware and SpyBot are two of the best programs to deal with that - also free)

programs like win patrol and windows defender protect your computer from spyware if you dont want them you should be able to uninstall these programs

Luckily this shows where to go ....take a look at a file called win.ini in your windows directory

edit it and remove anything followund the load= and run= statements...
