Their highly underrated offensive line has been blocking well this year opening nice size holes for Taylor and Jones-Drew to run through this year.

As we all know the Patriots have problems with stopping the run up the middle and the Colts give up 110.0 yards on the ground per game.

Who would the Jaguars have the best chance against if they ate up the clock with a effective ground game? The Colts or Patriots?

top contributor..report me - Relax. No one is jumping the gun and we all know anything can happen on Sunday.

For those that keep saying the weather could be a factor. You obvioulsy didn't see them play the Steelers last Sunday in that blizzard.

If they can limit errors which they have all year and run the clock down they could be a problem come play off time for any team.

The Jags could beat Indy as long as Garrard keeps his cool he has the least amt. of int's this season and has been dead accurate. but the Pats on the other hand at home in foxboro Tom Brady will have the advantage and Garrard has never faced a changing D/line like the Pats

There not quite there yet. You really have to do the math. They were killed by the Colts in their first game of the season... that game was primarily played without David Garrard though. In the second game... they SHOULD OF won, but they didn't. Shoulda, woulda, coulda though... they did not do it. I was rooting for them all the way though because I really like the Jags and I am very fond of Garrard and Del Rio and I really dislike Peyton Manning, haha. And if they can't beat the Colts... they can't beat the Pats. The Patriots are just a different beast in the playoffs... regular season they are relying mostly on the pass and setting alot of records, but playoff time is different. They will not be trying to set any records... they will just be out there to win the game... ground and pound and through the air when they need the big plays. Jacksonville is most definitely the 3rd best team in the AFC though... I see them beating San Diego in the Wild Card round and thats about it... I would LOVE to see them beat the Colts and set up a Jacksonville vs. New England AFC Championship game though. The bare tacks though on this... if there was any team in the AFC to beat the Colts or Pats... I would say that team would be the Jags. GO PATS!

Good enough? Anyone can beat anyone, but they'll need to shore up that pass defense before they have a shot at either NE or Indy. Running the clock is great and all but Manning or Brady against the 27th ranked pass defense in the playoffs won't be pretty for Jag fans.

I'd have to give them the nod versus Indy in this question. Can anyone tell me the last time the Pats lost a playoff game in below freezing temps? Not sure a team from Florida will pull it off.

That would depend on the weather. I would say the Pats if the weather is bad, NE has done poorly in the games they have played when their passing game is ineffective (this weekend for example), and JAX can take advantage of that. If they go to Indy, weather is not a factor, Indy has won twice this year, and I would suspect it would be 1999 all over again if they played (Tennessee beat Jags 3 times that year). So I would have to chose Patriots.

The Jaguars certainly are playing well and their running game is superb. But the Colts and patriots have been in big games and will prevail over the up and coming J'Ville squad.

I think the Jags are a good team and could beat the Colts. I think it would be a close game against the Pats, but I think the Pats would pull off a victory.

Their chances aren't good against either, but better against the Colts. Dont take this the wrong way, but beating the steelers isn't exactly the accomplishment of the century. I think JVille is good, but not at the level of Indy and especially not at the level of New England.
JVille is good, dont get me wrong. Their win against Pittsburg was a big one, and I do see them making it to the division round of the playoffs, but no farther.

In bad weather Jacksonville has a chance, so the Jags have a chance if they play the Pats but would lose again to Indy.

probably the colts as they are very familiar with how the colts play. garrard has never faced the patriots defense which could pose a problem for him.

I think they may stand a chance against the injury ridden Colts.. but don't think they stand that snowball's chance in Foxboro...

Go Patriots 14-0 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
