bangs: short fringe of hair across forehead (its the way most little girls get their hair cut)

mono: two meanings....1st meaning: one, singular
2nd meaning: a viral infection that affects the throat. Many teenagers contract mono from sharing drinks and kissing other teens on the lips this is how it got nicknamed the "kissing disease"

Bangs is the American word for a fringe.

No idea what mono means, unless it's to do with sound (mono means it's the same out of both loudspeakers, stereo means different parts of the sound come out of each).

Bangs are the short pieces of hair in front of men and women's faces.

Mono can mean of one sound or it can be short for the viral infection mononucleosis which is an infection that breaks down your immune system.
