i worry i may be pregnant. I had unprotected sex with my ex partner on the 7th and 10th of september, i then got my period four or five days early and it was very heavy. I did not have sex during my next menstrual cycle and my period came on time but was a lot lighter, although i put this down to having a fever whilst on my period. I once again had unprotected sex on the 22nd of october, my partner did not ejaculate. My period after this was once again three or four days late, and was average to heavy. I have not had sex since the 22nd of october and it is now the 18th of december, but my period is five days late and my breasts are very sore. Could i have become pregnant in september and carried on having menstrual cycles? My periods have been of normal colour and consistency, except for the light one i had, and have lasted the same length of time. I am of small build and have not noticed any significant weight gain, and have experienced no vomiting. Am i right to worry?

It's not likely that you're pregnant. Stress can make you late or even skip your period. It's totally normal to have irregular periods.

It is unlikely that you are pregnant if you are still getting periods, however irregular periods can be a manifestation of an underlying problem. I would certainly reccommend going to see your GP as soon as possible, but please i urge you not to worry. Due to the fact you don't sound as though you are suffering from any other symptoms, it may well be something trivial. All the best.

Your breasts can get tender during ovulation. It doesn't sound like you would be pregnant after having two periods.

With age periods are irregular. It is natural.

best bet is to go to the doctors and put your mind at rest or a home pregancy kit will answer your problem
