i've seen a lot of serial movies, but which one is the best sequel to the original movie, it could be any genre, so which one do you think is the best 2nd part?

These aren't necessarily better than the original, but they're worthy follow ups. I also don't count LOTR, Star Wars, or Harry Potter because the second was envisioned as being a part of the whole.

Here are some good sequels:
-Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom (technically a prequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark)
-The Empire Strikes Back
-Aliens
-Rocky II
I discount the Lord of the Rings and the Potter movies as they were intended to be either part of a series. I guess the same could be said for the Star Wars movies.

Depends on what kind of movies you like, as one of the above said Lord of the Rings, but hey you may not like Epic films. I would Analyze This/Analyze That, I thought the second Shrek was better than the first but the third was horrible. The Spiderman Trilogy, Pirates of the Caribbean, the foreign films Red, White and Blue, the Alien movies, the first Nightmare on Elm St. movies however cheesy they may look now, they were masters of horror for their time. I love vampire flicks so I like the Blade trilogy. Anyway, there are so many good ones out there it would take forever to list them all, but again like I said, it's all about your preference in genres.
