It depends on the gender of your 6 year old and the 7 year old. You can make them a do a lot of things. For instance, ask them to make cards for their friends and family for Christmas and new year. Buy them a small Christmas tree and ask them to decorate it.
Organise a small winter party/picnic for them. Introduce interesting story books to them. Teach them some outdoor sport of you are ok with it. Give them any small work and also set deadlines for it and offer to give them some reward if the job is done properly and on time. Also this is a good time for children to start learning some form of art like music , painting etc., though it all depends on your children's' concentration span.
Anyways good luck to you!! Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Definitely get them outside for at least an hour a day.If you have snow, put them to work building snow forts and snow castles. Don't let them tunnel though. Hyperactive kids always think they can do more than they really can, and they have no hazard awareness so they will always take it to the Nth degree, and you can't let them do anything remotely dangerous.

If you can afford it, get snowshoes for them. they'll burn more energy per step and they won't be able to climb trees.

You could try duct tape...just kidding. I'd go to a craft store a pick up a couple t-shirts and some fabric paints and all of you sit down and creat wearable art.
