To find the mean, add the six numbers, then divide by six. The mean is 4.

To find the median, arrange the numbers in order, smallest to largest, and either pick the one in the middle, or find the mean of the two middle numbers. The median is 5.

the mean is : 4
- you have to add all the numbers and then divide them by how many numbers there are. In this case -6+-3+1+9+10+13=24. You then divide it by 6 because there are 6 numbers to add. That's how you get 4

the median is: 5
- you have to find the middle number of the series. In this case, there's 6 numbers so you have to find the middle of the 3rd and 4th numbers. So you have to find the middle of 1 and 9. The answer is 5.

Hope this helps!!! :-)

median, 5 cuz there are two middle numbers so u have to find whats in the middle of them, which is 5, and mean is 4
cuz -6 + -3+1+9+10+13= 24 and 24/6 (cuz there r 6 numbers) = 4

so median=5
mean= 4

Really should do it yourself, getting the answers wont help you.

I will give you help though.

Mean = mean as you have to add them all together then divide by the amount

Median = MED = MID = The middle number when in order.

You should be able to do it yourself now.

Good luck in your studys and have a nice Christmas

Idiot. The point to math is learning, not cheating. You can't use Yahoo Answers during the exam.
