Yes, the name Lorenzo is Italian...and Gabriel is a boys name. You know Gabe-ree-al....I've known guys name Gabriel, they called him Gabe...And this is the original spelling as far as I know..

I like it! I think it sounds best in the order in which you have it, too. As for those who think Gabriel sounds like Gabrielle, just point out to them that Gabriel is the older name and Gabrielle is merely a feminine name derived from it. (No one thinks Daniel is Danielle or Michael is Michelle!) Gabriel may be pronounced like Gabrielle in Spanish (you would know better than I), but in Spanish the feminine version would be Gabriela. You can also remind them that the angel who told Mary she was going to have a baby wasn't female (or was he?).

The names all work well together, but I would suggest one minor (or maybe not so minor) alteration: swap the first and middle names.

Nowadays, a lot of people prefer to honor a parent (or other close relative) by using that person's first name as their child's middle name - that way, the person is honored and acknowledged, but the child isn't burdened with being a "junior" or being confused with a parent/ aunt/ uncle/ grandparent when being spoken of or to. I tend to agree with this line of thinking.

However, it is your call.

Good luck.

doesnt sound very spanish to me..

its a very italian sounding name. but I think its cute. I love the use of Gabriel. Although when people read it they will probably pronounce it as the female garbrielle.
when said correctly, its a beautiful name for a boy.

I really like this name! I love the tradition that you are keeping too! Will this name be a Jr.? Since he will be named after your hubby? I think the name is very masculine and very elegant! Sounds good to me...congratulations and Happy Holidays!
