I've seen several wedges designed for this time of year in suedes. all colors. Some are peep toes, some are slings, etc. All are great for dressy occasion, work, dinners out, whatever.

I have this one in black patent. Not too fancy, but since I wear a AA width, I'm lucky to find anything!

Wedge heels are great for winter because there is more sole for you to balance on, less likely to slip. If your looking for a heel, definitely go with a closed toe. You wouldn't want your toes freezing off. The mary jane style is really cute: http://www.findcoolclothes.com/products/large_photos/bravo08blkpu.jpg . If you want a boot, most wedges in this style are leather, or faux leather so make sure to grab some weather sealant spray (sold in shoe stores). If in doubt, always go shoe shopping! Hope this helps =D

Can't go wrong with wedge-heeled boots! It looks like a lot of people are wearing knee-high wedge-heeled boots over skinny jeans this year. I have a pair with some really cute fur at the top. Total snow-bunny, LOL.

As for other kind of wedge-heeled shoes- as long as they have a closed-up toe (or a peep-toe with colorful tights underneath), they are fine for winter wear.
