I love my Dremel, and use it for a lot of things.
Start experimenting, but don't get foolish (you know how some people can be!! My son-in-law dented the grill he was putting together because we had to take a piece off to get another on... impatient and hard to work with).
They are great for wood carving, plastic carving and smoothing, sanding small things, they have attachments for chainsaw sharpening, drill press... all sorts of coolness!!!

You need to start by buying all the attachments for it. Then practice. I use mine for many projects.
