Do you think it is likely that the Patriots will lose a game (maybe even the Superbowl) due to biased officials, just to keep them from going undefeated?
The officials tried to steal the Colts game (and before you comment, many Colts fans agree) from the Patriots. However, I suspect that they were too blatant and were spoken to at halftime and told to shape up.

Ya know... I worry about that alot. I mean... if the Patriots were to go all the way and not lose a game leading up to a Superbowl the prospect of a "forced loss" makes me very nervous. Just like you it started at the Colts game. I mean... people that say that it wouldn't happen obviously don't watch a lot of football. I have watched alot of games where the officiating was just so blatantly outright bias it was rediculous. I mean... take the playoffs and the superbowl in the year the Steelers won... the officiating in those playoffs has been universally agreed upon as some of the worst ever in NFL playoff history. A forced loss makes me very nervous... if they got all the way there and lost the Superbowl due to bad officiating... haha, I don't know how the hell I would respond. In the same token though... I wouldn't want any blatantly bad calls going our way... I would want the Patriots to win... and to win fair and square. And to people that say "That would never happen." look at the NBA this past season... league official setting up the outcome of playoff games, no sport is immune from it. GO PATS!

nope. I think the officials were pretty bad in teh colts game, that was really the only time this season for the pats the officials have been bad. That game they didn't even get the coin toss right, but anyways. I dont think it will happen, but when you think back to the steelers seahawks superbowl, the officials gave the steelers a TD that was never scored.

Why would the league want to put a loss on the Pats? An undefeated season is a big deal that they can capitalize on to make money.

nope, I think the officials will be on the patriots side here on out. Especially if they go undefeated in the regular season. Then look for all the calls to go the pats way in the playoffs (just like they tried to fix the playoffs for indy when they played the steelers)

I think they are good enough to have a large margin of victory to prevent an official's call to stop them from running the table

Absolutely not. The zebras have blown a bunch of calls (and non-calls) this year, but I don't believe it's intentional. There's always the possibility the Pats could lose on a bad call, but with the replay it's unlikely.

in the afc champion game vs the colts when they have marvin harrison who has been hurt for 10 games. we will have a very big game 110 yards at the least 250 at the most and 3-5 tds

The Patriots*** benefit from bad calls all the time. They are hardly ever victimized by them. I think the fix is in for them to go unbeaten.

It seems to me it is the other way around, they seem to be helping them achieve an undefeated season.
