A little of both. Its great to see the old stuff in my mind, but the thoughts of passed loved ones is the hard part.

Tina...I have both....I believe my mood will affect which memories I have..oh the sad ones are so exhausting....like I am reliving them! I will weep......and at times I just keep crying...till I say to myself enough! As 4 the good ones oh some will make me LOL! Ever do that..think of something and start laughing people look like u r crazy! Then even the happy memories can cause me to cry...wishing there were times and loved ones I could bring back! I try to recall good memories, when I was a kid and had no troubles in the world. Great times. But the older I get seems like those memories get better somehow. Once in a while a sad memory will click in, but it's soon forgotten.

A little bit of both, I feel glad that I lived then but sad because our world is no longer safe for my grandchildren yet they have a lot of wonderful things too, I still think our younger days were the best there were!

Old, meaning more than 20 years--always good, because my mental spam-blocker doesn't allow bad memories (which do no one any good anyway). My earliest memory is 1956, age 1. Dad tickling my stomach. :)
