I put a question asking about advice on working on malaysia .

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20071218010444AADmfW9

unfortunately the replies were rather hostile and rude. with the recent disputes and issues with the hindraf and LTTE in malayisa. the malayisan ppl are being hostile towards all indians. thats acceptable.

i'm a sri lankan. just because our country is close to indian doesnt mean we are anything like indians. its a common misunderstanding. only thoe who have been to sri lanka will know. by race i'm a malay. meaning my ancestors are from malayisa. i look malaysian and speak malay.

sri lanka has been at war with the LTTE for over the past 20 decades. and we hate terrorists just as much.

i feel its very unfair to be treated like this just because my country is close to india. i'm a muslim and i'm a malay. i'm not an indian or a terrorist.

would like to have your ideas and opinions

I don't see any reason for hostility.

Q. I'm sri lankan!! not an indian or a terrorist. I Want to work in Malaysia?

A. You shouldn't panic. Malaysians and Indians are getting along just fine in Malaysia. I'm Indian and have friends in Malaysia. HINDRAF is an internal problem in that country and you shouldn't be concerned too much.

one of the three responses seemed nasty/rude. The other two seemed okay. I think you over-reacted.
