there's just so much good will going around, people being nice to other people, thinking about others and shopping for gifts, that it's kind of contagious!

Maybe because Christmas is 6 days away? To join in the fun:
Just relax, grab a mug of Hot Chocolate and watch a Christmas movie.
If you're driving anywhere listen to some Christmas music.
Buy or make presents for people and wrap them.
Decorate a tree.
make cookies or a gingerbread house.
Help out at a homeless shelter.
If you have younger siblings/kids read them Christmas books.
Make yourself a wish list of everything you want, and hide it away somewhere, then next year pull it out and see how you've changed.
If you were invited to a party - go to it!
And enjoy the weather, having time off from school/work, seeing people you almost never get to see, anything! Just find something to enjoy!

I understand. It is like, why can't people be cheerful all year round, instead of only at Christmas time. Just tell them the same, and maybe it will catch on for you. Play some Christmas music to get you in the spirit, or think about a small babe wrapped in a manger, that was the original reason for the season. :)

Last year my husband was in Iraq for Christmas so this year I'm 100% in the spirit. We have decided to set aside one special Christmas thing to do a night this week since it's the week before Christmas. Tonight, we're curling up on the couch with cocoa, spiced wine and popcorn and watching "it's a wonderful life."

Just be happy and grateful for everything that you have! Something that always makes me feel good around Christmas is just go to the mall and when you are leaving a store say "Merry Christmas" to the salesperson. You never know who just might need that Christmas greeting.

Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, God the Son.
The angel said to them,
"Do not be afraid; for behold, I proclaim to you good news of great joy that will be for all the people. For today in the city of David a savior has been born for you who is Messiah and Lord. And this will be a sign for you: you will find an infant wrapped in swaddling clothes and lying in a manger."
And suddenly there was a multitude of the heavenly host with the angel, praising God and saying:
"Glory to God in the highest and on earth peace to those on whom his favor rests."
(Luke 2:10-14)
With love in Christ.

Coz it's nearly Christmas? Listen to some really good Christmas songs - pop or classical, whatever takes your fancy. Book to go to a pantomime... And say a blessing for all the people who have to work on Christmas Day - I've assumed you don't have to! :o)
