This is my first and I'm 23 weeks. This was lastnight. I feel great, walk 5-6 days a week and eat well. So far, I have had a healthy pregnancy, despite that fact that I am bigger than most women during this stage of pregnancy.

I have had 2 ultrasounds, and several doppler things. The've never found or heard a second heartbeat. But could it be twins? or are some women just bigger?

Maybe cuz i'm having a boy. Everyone kept saying I was having a boy because I was so big, and it's all in front...not on the sides at all. NO one said girl....and i found out i'm having a boy. My mom also said she carried really small with all three girls, and with my bro she was huge.

No, your ok... some women are just bigger and show sooner than others.

Mother of 3 here, showed huge with my first, barely on my sec. preg. until I was 6 months, then my 3rd ( which is right now) I think this is the bigest I have been yet.

Its not twins.

If you've had 2 u/s, they would have found them by now. Trust me. I've had twins. You can immediately see them on an u/s and the doppler things would pick up massive echos.

A second baby at 23 weeks would be incredibly hard to miss.

Don't worry about being "bigger". Just continue to eat healthy and you will have a healthy baby.

Good luck!

I thought the same thing about myself. I am 22 weeks and everyone was telling me how big I am and am I sure I'm not having twins? Even my mom told me that she wasn't this big until she was 7 months, but I had my ultrasound last night and there was just one baby and the ultrasound tech said that the baby already weighs over one pound so I think it's just going to be a big baby. Hopefully I will deliver before my due date!

please don't worry everyone puts on totally different amounts of weight. My friend and I were both pregnant at the same time within 5 days of each other and at full term i had only put on less than a stone and she had put on 3 stone but both our babies were almost 7 pounds and totally healthy. Maybe mention your concerns to your midwife just so they can reassure you and put your mind at rest. But sound like your doing everything really well with the healthy eating and keeping active. well done

Awww...I wish my belly looked like that already so I could show it off!! Looks okay to me though! I guess there's a small chance there might be a second one in there, but I doubt it if they haven't seen or heard anything.

every woman is different, some women at that stage don't even LOOK pregnant yet. im pretty sure you're only carrying one baby since they've done two ultrasounds
