Well if by 1+ 2*3 you mean1+ 2 x 3, then the answer is 7.
multiplication first: 2 x 3 = 6
then addition: 1 + 6 = 7

If you mean 1+ 2 cubed, then the answer would be 9.
exponent first: 2 cubed = 2 x 2 x 2 = 8
then addition: 1 + 8 = 9

It realy depends on what you mean by the asterik (*).

Must know your order of operations: PEMDAS
P - Parentheses
E - Exponents
M - Multiplication
D - Division
A - Addition
S - Subtraction

That is the order.

Since there isnt an P or E, do M first:
2*3 = 6
Rewrite: 1 + 6
1 + 6 = 7.
