Well I still scrub my floors with the scrub brush on my hands and knees at times, I use a mop and bucket when I'm cleaning up spills and in between good cleanings I use a swiffer wet jet with the anti-bacterial solution. Guessing North eastern England is where you are from.

I bought a mop and bucket and the stupid thing broke the first ever time I used it.so I threw the handle away and just get on my knees now with the end bit.And about the fire,I thought thats how you always light the fire !

Nowadays, scrubbing would be ancient, mop and bucket would be old fashioned, and the modern-day option is to use a Swiffer, which I actually hate. I'm a mop and bucket kinda guy.

I use a mop and bucket.. I am thinking to get one of those big hospital type ones then I could finish the floors more quickly.

I use a mop but If its a hard to reach area I get down and scrub it with a brush and cleaning rag.

i get on my knees when i have to do the vestibule because the floor is stone and i like to scrub it clean, but the kitchen and bathroom gets a good once over with the mop....

i still get down on my knees and scrub my kitchen floor mops dont cut it...i use a mop in between the scrub but they arent like elbow grease...
