The NFL fined five Falcons players for their unauthorized tribute to felon Michael Vick.

Do you still blame Bobby Petrino for quiting on these sorry excuses for human beings?

I thought Petrino made a smart move by getting away from these scumbags. It looks like the inmates are running the asylum in Atlanta.

I don't blame Petrino at all for resigning on that sorry *** organization. That pathetic tribute to a dog killer is just rediculous. I'd rather be a part of the Dolphins right now than the Falcons.

Players should be allowed to express themselves as long as they are within the rules. Even though they are paying tribute to a convicted felon and fool like Mike Vick is besides the point. The league did nothing when players payed tribute to Sean Taylor (RIP). Unauthorized is a dumb word or excuse for the NFL to use.

As for Petrino, what a jackass. He quit on his players and ran off like a thief in the night. First off, he meets with Blank the day prior and assures him he isn't taking the Arkansas job. Then, once his team suffers another devistating loss to an already miserable season, he resigns and signs in a span of only a few hours. And the chump couldn't even face his own failure. Instead he leaves a crummy apology letter which only threw more salt into the wound. A gutless coward in my book. The Atlanta Falcons have every right to verbally blast this guy. The players are right, he quit on them and he needed to go back to college and coach a bunch of young boys instead of men.

Petrino was smart..to get out of that situation..Blank had a great coach in Mora Jr ..(who I hope gets a job again)

..all because his Dad called M Vick a "Coach Killer"..and the owner used some joking comment to a very good friend..to fire him..A Blank is now the worst owner of the very worst group of individuals in the league for backing Vick in his lies..

and Mora Sr.. clairvoyant about Vick and his propensity for killing things

that team needs to be totally dismantled and the name changed..if they don't dismantle it they should at least change the name..maybe to the Butchers

Petrino should have cut his losses and run much sooner. I sure as hell wouldnt want to coach a bunch of thugs and live in a cesspool like Atlanta.

Yes, I still blame Petrino.

You're talking about 5 guys, but that's only 10% of their roster. What about the rest? And these five made stupid choices in supporting their friend that way, but it's not like they did something illegal or immoral.

What Petrino did remains far, far worse.
