You'll need to go and search for a free program called AnalogX Proxy. Download and install this on the computer that is connected to the net. Now, hook up your ethernet and in your browser settings, edit the connection settings to use a proxy server and give your 1st computers IP address.

Good luck!

Buy a router.

There is an "Internet Sharing" feature in XP, but I recommend against using it. It makes the computer doing the "sharing" into the router, slowing that computer way down whenever anyone else is on the Internet. Also, it means the PC doing the sharing as to be on for anyone else to get to the network.

Invest in a router. It is faster, easier to set up, and more secure.
