i have to make a working model on the uses of static electricity. i have successfully able to geerate enough from the van de graff generator i had made. now i have to use that electricity in some working model to show some uses. any ideas?

this is a part of my physics project.

Ok, maybe you should keep the van de graff away from your ipods. You can build a capacitor to store it, but it will still be very high voltage (it will damage electronics). But there are lots of uses, Ionic propulsion in space, Air purification, electrostatic paint spraying. If you put a pin on the globe of the van de graff electrons will stream off the point, if you take a match and snuff it next to it you will see the "ionic wind" blow the smoke away. This can be used to demonstrate ionic propulsion

Electricity is electricity. A capasitor or a battery can be used to store the charge. Ones it is stored you will know what to do with it (LED, motors, iPod perhaps....?)
