This is a longshot, but theres this song in MTV's True Life (Hooked on Oxycontin), a beautiful piano piece with a womans soft wooing over it. I can't find this song, but ive heard it many times, and I MUST track it down. It's deffinately no mtv pop song.
Oh, and the episode aired in 2003, so the song is from that time period.

There's a website called "adtunes.com" that is nothing but people basically trying to do what you're trying to do. Ask around there and see if anybody has an answer for you.
