We've been married for 5 years, when i stopped taking the pill for several medical reasons he decided not to touch me. It's been both painful and dissapointing. I;ve been advised to go and "dossolve" my marriage at the church, is that possible?
I will appreciate any help on this matter.

Of course!! This is abandonment. I knew of a guy that didn't touch his wife for 4 months. She cheated on him with her boss and he told me the reason he did not touch her was because he didn't want to file for divorce because it'll make him look like the bad one. These behaviors are calculating and thoroughly thought out.

I suppose on the basis of "irreconcilable differences" a divorce can be granted. Depends on what state you're living in. Couldn't he wear a condom? Could you get a Deprovera shot or IUD. . .something else? Sounds like the whole b.c. pill thing is just an excuse on his part. I wonder what he'd do if you came up with another form of b.c. and told him so. "Guess what, honey! Your worries are over - I have ___ now to prevent unwanted pregnancy! Whoo-hoo! We can resume sexual relations!" I'd love to see his face!!

I would be concerned about any man who doesn't want to touch his wife - that's cruel. Does he think he will hurt you? I guess it depends on the medical condition. If he simply doesnt want to impregnate you - that's lame. There are other birth control options. This is absolutely grounds for the marriage to "disolve". Even in the church, sex is a major part of the marriage.

Tell him to get a vascectomy if he's so worried about getting you pregnant that he wont touch you if you are not on the pill. Thats insane, my husband would do me if I was on birth control or not, and most men would...There are so many methods out there other than the pill.

Its something else thats has him not touching you !!! Look, we are men , we have thoughts of sex almost a hundred times a day.. He would go around the situation. wear a condom perhaps...

So your telling us that your marriage is BASED on Sex? What happened to love, trust, honesty, friendship or any of the IMPORTANT issues that hold a marriage together. With you being shallow enough to make sex a 'requirement' I do hope that for his sake, you can get a divorce. It sounds like he deserves someone who LOVES HIM and not someone who is in love with sex...So, yes, please go get a divorce and then go get laid and that should solve all your problems.
And not one of you even thought to consider that he may have a valid reason for not wanting sex. He could be concerned about hurting her, as the b.c. was stopped for medical reasons. He could have a case of E.D. due to stress. Doesn't both sides of her story/post need to be heard BEFORE you ASSUME anything about him????

well - it doesn't sound like you have a marriage there anyway - if you and him can't sit down and discuss those things - might as well divorce him!
