I would like to know some popular songs from the ninetes but any decade will do accept 60,s and lower

I can go on forevvvvvvvver!!!! These are simple tunes that use only the most basic "power chord" and only about 3 or 4 at that. Try playing it it one string first, then after yo think you've got it, toss in the 2nd string.

Try some of the early Green Day songs. Most of them only involve 3 chords.
