My friend said it is. I don't think it is, as surely too many people have them for that.
The reason I was accused of this is because of certain pain/bondage interests my boyfriend and I share.
I'm just asking, if it's true and if so at what point do you believe it goes beyond being a game and turns into a problem.
All we do is entirely consensual and he would in no way ever abuse me or I him, but we do hurt each other.

We do respect each other, we cause bruises frequently, and no one else gets hurt although i suppose we have lead other people on by teasing that we'll let them join in even though we wouldn't.

No way is a fetish a psychological disorder, no matter how disgusting or wrong some people may see it, a fetish is a natural feeling, I guess you could only consider it a psycological disorder if it is so serious that you can't control your urges and act on your fetish with random people without their consent, otherwise it's perfectly normal and no matter what people say, they have one of their own that you might think is gross.

This is NOT a professional response, just personal. To each his/her own. Are you causing permanent damage to each other? Do you respect each other? Do you see your actions, as being done by two consensual adults, a problem? Are you hurting anyone else with these actions? If you answer no to these questions, then why are you worrying? psychology creates themes out of each and every thing and something. It has too to stay to tell the tale Psyche is a learn of the ideas. Behaviorism is a learn of movements and does not evaluate the "intangibles," the non-seen as being valid reason for an act. It defeats itself. The learn of the ideas is any mans land. we are able to ask your self approximately something and are available up with untold theories. If adequate psychologists accept as true with yet another on a theory all of them occasion create an 'Open-ended' Tome on it. Dispute could flow on. Its human and been with human beings in view that human beings began thinking and coming up possibilities, prejudices, neuroses.,........fetishes what's problem-unfastened experience? "a decision of prejudices gained via the age 18".....Albert Einstein Yeah, a sexual fetish is a psychological ailment.......in case you think this is

A fetish can be a psychological disorder if it:
1. interferes with daily function; and/or
2. causes the individual distress; and/or
3. hurts other people in non-consenting ways.
Consenting sexual behavior between two adults is generally not considered a psychological disorder.

I'd have to see some more evidence of a disorder. Right now it just sounds like consensual fun.

No, I would not consider it a disorder, but rather a sexual kink. Kinks are fine as long as there are two consenting adults acting on it. It is up to you and your partner to set the standards as to what might be taking it too far.

i would have to say yes it is. not that there is anything wrong with
you, but some like auto erotica that might be harmful if you're not careful. I am in no way comparing you to this person but John Wayne Gacy found him self turned on when he killed someone.
