i dont get it... its a cool way to communicate with your friends that live far from you.... but some ppl say that myspace sucks... anyone know why???

some people hate myspace because it ruined their relationship with their significant other. also, some people hate myspace because they say its nothing but a big virus, which it wouldn't be it people where not so stupid to look at the address box and make sure it says myspace.com/ not myspace2.com or some other stuff. thats just a couple of reasons i can think of.

I had myspace for nearly its entire existence and I slowly saw it get taken over by spammers. Myspace administration did very little to stop this and didn't give group moderators sufficient tools/interfaces for dealing with it so I quickly grew to loathe myspace. Facebook IMO is now by far and away the better site, mechanically and socially.

how stupid. all people do is criticize myspace all the time when they either have or had a myspace. then there is some who say facebook is better and i went there and its so boring and plain. it looks like a version of myspace for old people. ugh for everything you will always find the ones who like it and the ones who dont. end of question.

I think it's because a lot of people add people who they don't know,and try to trick everyone into thinking they have loads of friends, but they just add people and don't talk to them. I don't see why this is a bad idea, because you can be able to add anyone you like whether or not you talk to them.
But then again, some people think different.
:)
But, some people think that myspace is a dangerous place because you can chat to loads of people , who you might not know, and loads of bad stories about meeting people, and that recent one where the girl killed herself because of an issue that happened on myspace.
But, To be honest. I think myspace is great, i go on it everyday. I love it :)

I personally am addicted to both myspace and facebook. I guess myspace sucks because its become the stereotypical way for teens, especially of the emo sort, to broadcast their pain. (I will admit, I am one.) Also, there are a lot of adds.
Older people prefer things like facebook, which I also have. Im not sure why, though.

I think it may be because so many people have it and..people want to be noncomformists! But overall I think people don't like it because they see it as a place thats ver disorganized and a place where only "emos" and people that want to look cool go. Its just peoples opinions. Like..I love garlic..and cake..but some people HATE that stuff. Thats just their opinion! If you like myspace..then good for you =)
(Just make sure it doesn't take over your life and spiritual life ;)

I have only heard people negative about myspace that are worried about all of the sickos in the world that try to find people to prey on... just make it private and only talk to people you know and theres no problem with it!
