Anyone who believes in Christ and professes that faith is a Christian. You aren't born a Christian, it is a decision made about what you choose to believe. Many who were born into Muslim, Jewish, and Hindu families have chosen to believe in Christ and are therefore Christians. It isn't about the physical birth, it is about the spiritual birth.

I'm not an Obama supporter. But his biological father became an atheist when he was a student. His mother was sort of agnostic, she taught Obama about all the different religions in the world so he can get a perspective on the world. In his childhood, he attend madrassa school which is a Muslim school but he also attended a Catholic school. His stepfather was a non-practicing Muslim so Obama probably got a bit into the Muslim religion when he was at Madrassa. He was never raised a Muslim, he wasn't raised as anything. He was raised in a secular household. Obama was for much of his life without any belief system, a "skeptic" as he later said. Until, the 80s as a college student he met Reverend Wright who guided him in his conversion to Christianity. He was baptized in the United Trinity Church of Christ as an adult and later his daughters were baptized in that same church. He isn't a Muslim but I still won't vote for him. I don't agree with his political ideals.

1. I suppose that b/c my mom is a fundamentalist christian then I MUST be too. No, just b/c someone in the family is one religion does not make their kids the same religion.
2. So what is he was Muslim? How does that make him any less qualified to be president? What about Lieberman--he is Jewish, does that make him less qualified, Romney as a Mormon--what exactly are your criteria for being qualified based on religion.
3. Traditionally in America a person who has any portion of black blood in their family has been considered "black" So Mr. Obama being 1/2 black makes him "black" in America--as sad as it is that we have to put everyone in a labeled box.
Maybe we can start talking about actual issues and who is going to be the best person to lead our country and to help the USA become a country that is respected and works towards making the world a better place.

He's not a Muslim, his dad was not an extremist, and he doesn't even have a step dad. That is ALL propaganda, and you're one of the losers who are buying into it. Ha ha... Don't believe everything you read.
AND- it's not disrespectful to his mom. Anyone who didn't know his mom is white would never label him 1/2 white- HE'S BLACK!!!! Many black/ white parents of bi racial kids call their children black, because it usually dominates their physical features. That's just common sense. You're a trip......

I belive he is a Christian now. His language, how he uses morality to address political issues. While I do believe he was a Muslim in name in Indonesia I don't believe he was ever a Muslim in his heart

Why does it matter? His religion shouldn't interfere with how the country should be run.
It wouldn't bother me if Obama was once grounded by his parents for not tiding his room but it would still appear on Fox.
The supreme court has Mohammad on it's wall as a member of the great historical law makers, would you remove it as it's not christian? Moses tablet that is showing the ten commandments says thou shall steal and thou shall murder.

People believe he's Muslim because of two employees from Clinton's campaign, who have since been fired, spread emails saying that he was and that he attended Muslim schools.
Neither of which is true.
Good try, though!

It is people who are uneducated or who don't bother to research the candidates that know nothing. At least read his short biography on Wikipedia.com.
If your parents were say, Catholic, and you decided to convert to another religion, does that STILL make you a Catholic?

How can you possibly know what religion he believes? Are you a mind reader? Been stalking him at church? I keep hearing this BS and yet no one can put him with other Muslims.
What a hate filled question. I feel sorry for you and anyone that has to listen to you.
