Where is that first flag today?

What does the U.S. flag make you think about?

Why was it meaningful to fly the same flag that flew over Pearl Harbor when it was bombed over the White House on the day Japan accepted terms of surrender in 1945?

No one knows where the first flag is because few flags survived. The flag makes me think how lucky I am to have been born in this beautiful, majestic and FREE country. President Roosevelt called the flag used during Japans surrender the "flag of liberation".
