I have a GF of 2 years. Long story short, we had to keep our relationship secret, when her parents found out they threw me out and we broke up. We got back together after she turned 18 and we've been secretly together again since then. But I can't live that secret any longer. I want to love openly, have people see me happy and in love. I can't stay with my GF because I am not ready to come out - I don't think I am gay and being with her is more like a teenage love that I now have come to realize is not what I want...
I need to break up with her... How?

"The problem is all inside your head", she said to me
The answer is easy if you take it logically
I'd like to help you in your struggle to be free
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover

She said it's really not my habit to intrude
Furthermore, I hope my meaning won't be lost or misconstrued
But I'll repeat myself at the risk of being crude
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover
Fifty ways to leave your lover

You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

Ooo slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just listen to me
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free

She said it grieves me so to see you in such pain
I wish there was something I could do to make you smile again
I said I appreciate that and would you please explain
About the fifty ways

She said why don't we both just sleep on it tonight
And I believe in the morning you'll begin to see the light
And then she kissed me and I realized she probably was right
There must be fifty ways to leave your lover

There is no need to be in a relationship like that. It will never work if you have to hide it.

Right there you have your answer. If the girl really cares about you she will know it is a good idea to end things. No two people, no matter how much they want to be with each other, should have to hide their love.

My advice to you is to just be honest. There is nothing wrong with the way you feel. If she gets mad about it then you two weren't mean to be together.

I've gone through the same thing before and I just told the girl flat out that it wasn't going to work because I wanted a girlfriend I could openly love.

Just take it all in stride and remember...sometimes the hardest decisions can be the best decisions.

If she loves you she will understand.

Breaking up is never an easy thing to do, but there are things that can make it unbearable. Don't do it over the phone, or internet, or especially not by word of mouth. Don't make up a lie just to make it sound better to avoid hurting her feelings. Remember, you're breaking up with her, it's going to hurt no matter what you do..
Sit down with her, in person, and put it all out on the table, and be 100% honest in everything you say. Be prepared to deal with her emotional response and keep your cool. Don't resent your relationship, but be happy for the time you had together, even if it didn't work out. If you sound positive, even if it upsets her, it'll be the first step to her acceptance.

The best way to do it is tell her the exact same thing you just wrote here. Explain to her why you don't enjoy your secret relationship, and your need to be happy and for people to see you happy. And honestly, I feel for you. I wouldn't want a secret relationship either

Be honest with her, just tell her you cant keep dating someone in secret and that the lies and sneaking around have put a damper on your feelings for her. She should understand! You cant keep dating her if you dont want to be with her, she should be able to go out and find someone to love the same as you should be able to! Good luck with everything!!!

Just be honest and sit down and tell her. Tell her how you feel and why you think you feel that way, and then move on. It's hard breaking any relationship off, but the key thing is that you have to move on.
