If you chose Aquarius the baby would arrive in the last decanate of that sign - meaning that it would be an Aquarian but not as strongly Aquarian as one born in the first decanate. This does not mean that the child would then adopt some Piscean characteristics as the sun can only shine its energies in one sign or another, not both. It just means that it would be a more 'diluted' Aquarian.
On the other hand if you went for Pisces the baby would be in the first decanate of pisces and thus should be a very strongly typical Piscean.
More to the point I would zone in on the dates. I would be cautious choosing dates that add up to a four or an eight. For instance the 4th, 8th, 13th, 17th, 22nd, 26th and 31st. People born on these dates tend to attract other people on these dates and also seem to have hectic lives. Think of someone that you know born on one of these dates and you may well find that they have partners, bosses etc born the same and a level of hecticness in their lives more then the average person.
Now I am not really straying from astrology here - this is information taken from 'Star Signs - the secret codes of the universe' by Linda Goodman, a highly respected astrologer.
I am over generalising here but if you have the time, and seeing as you are asking this sort of question I would get to the library/bookstore and get her book.
Or just don't play 'God' and draw the date out of a hat and make health and happiness your wishes. All the best.

I would personally say Aquarius for the simple fact that the baby is a female. I'm female, and all my life I've heard how females are so emotional, weak, weaker than males, and just simply the 'weaker gender', as if there is such a thing... And Pisces is very emotional being a water sign and just plan being Pisces. Aquarius is very giving of him or herself, likes to help people, will always put the 'needed', sort-to-speak, before anyone else, and likes to learn and gain knowledge.
So if she turns out to have the personality of an Aquarius, she'll still have many of the good and positive traits we females have. But at the same time no males will be able to say she's weak, emotional, or lacks any kind of knowledge. And I'm sure she's going to turn out to be a beautiful girl, and young lady, and young woman. But she'll have all the brains people may think she lacks.
Pisces has a lot positive traits, too, though. Such as imagination, creativity, also very helpful but at the same time very gullible. Sensitive, loving, loved herself and friendly (some times too friendly and gets taken advantage of and doesn't see it). Seeing as sooner is better, and since she will be on the cusp, (born one day before a sign starts, or 1 day after a sign's time ends), she will probably have traits for both. And again, since it's the sooner the better, you might as well 'make' her an Aquarius.
Luck. And I hope your baby is happy 'n healthy.

Coincidence! I have grown children: a daughter born on Feb 18th and a son born on Feb 19th. Both are Wonderful People! Honestly, with all I studied about astrology and from what I know now, I would say the NAME you give her is far more important. Choose a good, agreeable name that rings well and doesnt baffle people and that will make her feel proud and happy. Pick a birthing day on which the weather should be good for driving to the hospital, or base it on a day on which an admirable famous person was born. Please do your little daughter a favor and let her be who she will be without forming pre-assumptions. Dont lock her in! The stars are changing and moving slowly anyway. The shape of the big dipper has been slowly changing, science has shown. Astrology can be fun or it can make you a bit obsessed.. Dont raise her to think she has to be a certain way based on a horoscope. Please, let her be free. Teach her to talk to you and express herself. Ask her about herself and let her unfold as a person, get to know her that way.Let her read her 'scope at the END of her life if she wants to, and see if it was even close then, lol! All the best with your sweet family.

I need to know what sign are you, that will indicate what is better for you to handle as a parent. Don't forget you have the aspects to deal with. Which means you need to really research what this childs Elements & Quality balance will be so you can prepare for the best method of communication and affection.
An Aquarius needs space and communication to interact in their world. They are theoretical which means they don't search for obvious answers. They seek to answer obvious questions in new ways. This is an Air sign so they intellectualize their experiences.
A Pisces is more internal and needs that emotional connection. They learn from energy they will pick up on negative and positive vibes. They are theoretical too but seek to transform their intuition from feeling to language. They can be very primitive if they don't get loved and will act out just the way they have been treated. This is a water Sign so they reflect the behavior they learn.

Congratulations to you and your family. It sounds like your new daughter is going to have a very lovely big brother; your little son sounds very sweet. I'm utterly convinced though that he's an adorable treasure because of his natural character and upbringing, not necessarily because he's a Libra. How about writing a list of pro's and cons for each date; there might be other factors and influences in yours and your families life that will be effected by the birthday of your new family member. I'm sure your new daughter will be absolutely wonderful what ever star sign she happens to fall under.
I'm a bit of a zodiac sceptic I'm afraid, but don't claim to know all the answers to how the universe works, if I'm wrong and our personalities are determined by this ancient art, then consider Pisces - I was born 30 years ago on 20th Feb and I'm enjoying a wonderful life!
Hope it all goes well.

tough one this, aquarius could mean she wil be a little drippy-as in soft and sweet wont stand up for herself bit of a mummys girl, but then pisces could mean she will feel like a fish out of water, not sure about herself and no self confidence. Personally i think the aquarius route would be better because at least if she is going to be a water carrier then she will have superb balance and could end up being a ballerina or famous dancer.

I was doing a search for astrology compatability when your question came up, so here is the link I found to answer us both:D
http://www.tarot.com/family/parenting/parent-compat.php
But if it an 'elective' C section I do encourage you to research alternatives, it is so hard on the body and having had a loved one recently die unexpectedly from a minor procedure in the Hospital when they gave her antibiotic resistant staff it is hard to understand why anyone would take the risk of a hospital for anything. MERSA is big news I hear, you might look into it. Blessings!

If you want an humanitarian, honest, loyal, child...then go for January birthdate. Your child will surely be the one to move out of the house w/ a job by the age of 18....and they probably wont call home to ask for much help either. and Aquarius and Libras get along very well.
