I've had a breast reduction Feb 2006 38J to 38C and don't regret it one bit.

The reason I'd think you would lose weight after a reduction is, that you'll already have a few pounds taken off because of the surgery, which then will lighten the load on your back, thus enabling you to work out better in order to lose weight.

I don't think it has ANYTHING to do with metabolism. It has everything to do with how comfortable you are working out after a reduction.

My sister had a breast reduction (she's overweight to being with). Her metabolism is the same and she hasn't lost any weight.
