Yes I would. I work in the hospitality business. I know first hand every mistake does come back when it comes time to add up the numbers at the end of the night. Anything that doesn't add up correctly comes out of the staff's pockets. And they don't make much of a decent living before missed cocktails or appetizers.

Yes, I've done it more than once. Usually those places take it out of the wages of the server. I don't dislike any of the servers that much -- oh, except that lady who was really rude to me because I didn't get my meal cooked as requested and she didn't want to take it back. If she'd made a mistake on the bill I wouldn't have said a word!

If it was just a small mistake, I doubt if I would even realize it. I have never tried to figure my bill up to be exact before paying it.I just glance at it to make sure it looks similar to what I ordered to eat and drink.

It would depend on a few factors...
- if my service was good
- how exactly "small" the error is
- the wait staff's attitude
If I had a good server, who was pleasant (they don't always go together ya know) I would point it out, I have had $ taken out of my pocket when I was waitressing, and even a few bucks makes a difference when you are only making $2.15 an hour and rely on those tips.

I'd rather not even pay attention to the bill and just pay it without thinking...
But I would point out a big mistake - not a small bitsy one.

Not any more! I have done so in the past but I've also missed mistakes in their favor so I decided to quit pointing out the ones in my favor since it all evens out in the end and, face it, if they hire people stupid enough to make mistakes then they SHOULD be the one penalized.

NOT TILL I GET THEM TO FIX IT
after all it is only a dish and it should be dished out
worth its reputation in the man whom pays out
for the Service [now that is worth the complaint
it serves 3 purposes YOU THINK ABOUT THAT !!

Yes I would. My parents owned a restaurant, and I was a waitress. I made mistakes and most people would be honest.

Sometimes I have but sometimes I haven't.
Depends on service and whether it's a chain store.
I try to point out the mistakes. It's just not right!
