Woman.
I wouldn't want an auto mechanic who never owned a car to work on my car, and I don't want a man who's never owned a vagina to work on my vagina.

I really don't have a preference I have a man ob/gyn now I don't get very creeped out about I feel the men went to school just as well as the women so they all should be just as qualified.

A woman. I am an RN and mother and have had a f emale GYN for many years although an OB-GYN I worked for delivered my son. I feel more comfortable with a woman who can fully relate to me as a woman. I never feel rushed when seeing her for my yearly appt. and she is genuinely concerned about all physical aspects of my life. This is the only area of medicine where I prefer a woman although, ironically, my dermatologist and dentist happen to be women too.

I prefer a woman too and for the same reasons. I've only had one man who was my OB/GYN and he was really nice and very gentle, but I just felt too weird about the whole thing, so I found a female. I discussed it with him and he totally understood and referred me to someone great. During my pregnancy, I've spoken to many, many women and most of them preferred a man because they felt men were more sympathetic to their needs in that dept. Strange.

hi, as a makeup artist myself I think that men have a perception of the woman 's beauty by excellence and they exactly know how a woman can look good. all the best designer for woman are men because they see in the woman what women can"t see. hard to explain but hope u're with me... take Christian dior, Laboutin , Yves saint laurent , john galliano etc.... so many names in the fashion industry are men's name. I know I love working with men make up artist because I love their jobs, their tips. But women are good too , sadly not all of them , whereas men , with my experience , are all good . so as a conclusion ,I prefer men.

I've had both, and I honestly say my current male ob/gyn has given me better care than my former female practitioner.
He answers my questions and addresses my concerns, rather than brushing me off or outright laughing like she did.
(He found the endometriosis that's been causing my heavy painful periods for 15 years. Her answer the whole time was to see a shrink b/c she thought I was a hypochondriac.)

I've had both a woman and a man and I preferred the man because he wasn't as aggressive as the woman and made sure I was comfortable...there is always a female nurse in the room during everything which makes it better.

Lady, cause she can relate to what the heck I am talking about much easier! The touching part, well she is the Doc and I look at it no other way than that! Woman like to talk to their doctor about what's going on and feel we can relate much better and get our point or issues across easier with a better understanding!

I have had both, and I have to say that it depends on the personality and practice of the doctor in question. I have had both men and women gyns. that made me feel uncomfortable, but right now, I have a male gyn. that is excellent!

Ummm, well...my GYN is a guy...and he's cool as sh*t..at first, i wasn't comfortable with a guy as my GYN, but when i first started going to GYN's, I had a lady doctor. she was just weird to me though..and she always used to stick her finger in my (u know) hole..(NO BULLSH*T) talking about it was part of the exam, but no other doctor did that to me though..I had to stop going to her, cuz it used to piss me off..but Man or Woman, doesn't make me no never mind..
