We seem to have a lot of you who think this is an American bashing question, please read it again, I'm merely asking a question not making a statement.

It is common knowledge that we have embraced many things from the USA in the past 30 years or so, what I am asking is what if anything is annoying to you.

I Love American Cars especially 60's/70's Muscle cars like the Mustang, Camaro, Charger, Corvette, I also love the Converse trainer and the Fender Stratocaster/Telecaster, but other than that, you can keep the rest my friends its just an over grown undulgence of uninteligible crap thats over commercialised, over priced and as they say over here.

eg. McDonalds, Coca Cola, Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, Starbucks, Benny & Jerrys, Toys R Us, Walmart/Asda etc etc. The whole concept of one size fits all is no good for us English folk.

Bring back private enterprise, the corner shop, the individual, the tradesman, the specialist, not multi national, corporate crap that the modern generation has been born into.

Oh yes and not forgetting the all encompassing sayings such as "Whatever", "Oh my god", "like"
"you gotta be joking right".

As an American, I find I despise all the expressions you despise. I think we are suffering from a blight of teenagers who watch too many California movies and television. That's our usual reply when people criticise (notice that "s" instead of a "z"?) annoying American lingo. We hate California, too. that's why I enjoy hopping over to your side on YA. You should just click on the US version of Other-Society and Culture to see some of the most repulsive examples of writing and "thought" that you could imagine. Where do these creatures live?

"There you go" this is supposed to infer some alternative universe version of yourself in a parallel world is passing whilst you speak perhaps. Never heard the saying until McCloud came on TV in the 70's.

I'd start worrying if Brits began spelling flavor and color without the "u," or program with one "m."

It seems to me that your British lifestyle is fast becoming a Muslim lifestyle.

Maybe that should annoy you.
