Believe me...ive done tons of research, and ive narroed it down to these few choices. Ball Python, Corn Snake, Mali Uromastyx, or a Chameleon

I will probably go for the chameleon. And yes, I know all about the humidity, lighting, all the huge expenses....but I think I can handle it

What do you think?

Bearded dragons or iguanas, if you have room for very big tanks.
Pet reptiles require a lot of care. Make sure to do all your research before adopting a reptile. I worked in a pet store and personally, I think most people don't know what they're getting into when it comes to reptiles.
Most need to eat live insects, you need to watch for calcium deficiencies, you need the right lighting (some need UV bulbs- VERY important), the right temperatures during the day and at night, the right humidity levels, etc, etc.....
So please research first, and if you're willing to devote a lot of time and money, go for it.

I recommend tortoises. I have a Red Foot and she's sometimes shy but usually bold, trying (don't ask about this), and is very adventurous. She picks on foods, she doesn't come out of the shell if it's somebody she's not very fond of, and she would come out immediately if it's me or my family. She's very fond of my brother. She follows him everywhere, just like the tortoise chasing the dog/cat videos in Youtube. She only poops/pees on the kitchen and nowhere else. She won't even walk if it's a place she doesn't like.

She's a very unique being and I love her for being so.

I wouldent say camelons have personality thay just sit there Bearded dragons are great and easy to take care of. There funny when thay chase there food thay love being cuddled and thay do a crazy hand wave and head bobbing. And whn thay want to come out they splat themselfs right up against the glass.

The most"personality" I have found belonged to my Asian water monitor lizard, but of the choices you listed the ball python is a good pet and they do have distinct personalities

Personally, I LOVE snakes...I think they really get to know you, so I would go for the ball python. I used to have a ball python and he was constantly moving around, it was a lot of fun!

Bearded Dragon...hands down!!

Cham's are kindly skittish, and hard to care for.
Mali's are alright...so are the snakes.

But for a nice balance of ease of care and handling and LOADS of personality, I'd definitely say a bearded dragon. They truly bond with their humans and enjoy the interaction, as opposed to most "pet" reptiles who only tolerate the interaction.

Iguanas are interactive, too, but require lots of room, time and patience to get them tame. Beardie's only get to be about 20" long as opposed to a 5 ft long iguana!

Visit http://www.beardeddragon.org for info on them and stories of how pet-like they are!

I've raised many different types of reptiles and my favorite out of all of them would have to be my water dragons. Second place would go to my veiled chameleons though. You can buy harnesses for the water dragons and take them around with you. I used to take mine swimming even.

i have had several, and hands-down my favorite was the ball python. low-maintenance for a reptile, non-aggressive for a snake, and generally like to be handled. some of those others may look cooler, but will be a pain to keep within their narrow environmental requirements. i want another ball now, but my iguana keeps me too busy.

I'd say a Lepord Gecko, that was the only reptile i had ever owned, but It has a personality like a little person. And their life expectancy is up to 16 years,And they're not high maintence at all.

Good luck on reptile shopping :-))
