To know everything! The sooner you lose contact completely and get on with your life the better! I was engaged for 3 years and then broke up with my fiance'. For about 6 months we still saw each other occasionally, fought like crazy about what the other person was doing, etc. When I finally changed my number and moved, it was a command decision to break contact completely and it was the only way I was ever going to move on. Best thing I ever did.

Look...lets talk turkey here my man. In any case...'they' are no longer a part of your life. Whether you know what they do in life as you see them in passing (because anything more can be considered infatuated to the point of stalking) to if yu never see them again because they move away to never seeing them again because they're dead.
So...its important that you cease trying to decide which scenario you'd be letting you eat yourself alive to just chalking it up to the old 'love lost' routine and start concentrating on your life and move slowly back into the courting game.
Let it go man. It'll only make you miserable.

It would suck more to know everything. Because then you would know what's going on with the other person, watching them move on without you, and that would hurt so bad.

Knowing everything would suck big time...How could you get over someone if the fantasy was still there right in front of your face? I would end up being weak...this has actually happened to me bfore, and it really is true eventually---out of sight out of mind...

well both senarios suck big time. I would rather know a few things, but not everything. I would want to know they are happy, because I had moved on and was happy, but I wouldn't want to know everything.

Neither apply to me because i don't want to be with or care for some one who doesn't want to be with or care for me, if they really cared they wouldn't hurt you this way, so i move on.. People who hang on to the past are character flawed and need therapy..

I think i would prefer to know. Otherwise I would think it was my fault. And if they're honest, there might be a way to work through the problems.

I would make my own scenario....I'd disappear and the SO would wonder what happened to me and where I'm at.
