Oil of course

I think it would be due to fear of a terrorist attack or maybe an Attack that will be more brutal than 9/11. But as there are not much countries left that support terorrism and still not crushed by Western military might, I suppose it will not happen in present time. Another scenario could be competation between China,Japan and USA over the global market and business oppurtunities and the continuously decreasing Oil productivity of Gulf nations could spark to a world war for grabbing the last reserves of human kind. China's rapid militarisation and stratagic planning and its expanding economy for supporting the same could challenge US supremacy. If the American Army have to face Peoples liberation army (largest in the world)with nuclear power and long range delivery capibilities it could certainly amount to third world war.

To predict the exact cause is beyond us all. Some say that the next war may be because of oil. Others predict water to be the cause for war. Others have some other predictions. But I believe if this kind of intolerence, pride and vanity continues, the war may start even due to an answer on yahoo!
We need to develop our tolerance to prevent another war!

The exact cause will be the ambition of the militarily/economically strong country, like the USA, to get control over Oil and all resources of the world through "might", disregarding the lessons of History "how great civilisations and great powers were doomed".
The tendency of very rich ones to become more rich by denying the development and growth of the surrounding countries is very dangerous. The cost of remaining always on top ........in terms of military ....economy......technologies....N-poer etc.........is very high. How long can a country without basic morality to go along with others , will be able to do so?

Some folks argue that the Cold War and War on Terror are world War III and IV. But let me cast another Theory

Our Buddy Putin is wanting to control all the energy going into Europe. He is basically gutting Democratic institutions in his country. We Have Chavez doing the same to democratic institutions in South America and funding like minded movements (with various degrees of success)

And Iran is putting their security on both of these countries getting their back.

If we deepen our ties to Colombia and Chavez or a Chavista decides they want to invade colombia to help out their buddies in Fark that could snap a WWIII *IF* trends continue as they do.

In the Middle East their is a rise of Turkic and Persian Nationalism. Turkic and Persian peoples are scattered about. If a Turkic war occurs to establish turkish authority over their ethnic kin that could very easily through Nato light the match.

The Kurds and Shia in Iraq if Iraq becomes three countries could also start a third world war.

NOW their is another good theory of China and Russia starting a third world war if their is massive environmental damage in China and needs for Russian lands for the Chinese population.

Our Buddy Putin could help elect illicitly a regime in the Baltics and send troops there to "restore order" thus pulling that trigger on WWIII

So there are a couple of good scenarios

As easy and as tempting as it is to say Radical Islam, I don't think that is the case. We'll be fighting them for decades, but I don't think it will ever develop into a truly world war.

I believe if such a war comes to pass, it will have started on the Korean peninsula. The North will finally reach the tipping point where it just plain ol' cannot feed its people (they're almost there now, but they scrape together enough sawdust, etc...to use as filler), and will invade the South like it did in 1950.

When that happens, hold onto your posterior, because it will get very ugly very quickly.

There is no possibilty of 3 rd World war.Previuosly there was some Country called Russia,Germany,France,China were really wanted peoples welfare and contributed their might. But as on date ,everywhere people are suffering no Country is taking care of anything, even powerful countries are not doing anything .everybody wants to be selfish.Take Srilanka nearly for the past 25 years so many innosent civilians, great leaders and so many people have been killed just because for survival of one person and one for one community or religion,is there any body ,by name called veto power enjoing country have asked anything about it.Simply every country is saying it is their internal problem.Just in pakistan, one person massacre, who interfere in it.So no possible of a 3rd world war,for that also a Unity is essential ,that is lacking I think.
