grams in a teaspoon?

You cannot convert grams to teaspoons because grams are units of mass and teaspoons are units of volume. However, if we were talking about a teaspoon of some specific substance with a known density, then you could multiply the volume (1 teaspoon) by the density to get the mass. You would probably need to use a conversion factor to change the volume into the same units as the density uses.

Depends what the substance is. Grams are mass, a teaspoon is volume.

It totally depends on what substance you have and its density. Grams are a measure of mass whereas teaspoon is a measure of volume.
