Loved ones. If you count your family as loved ones that's great. But not everyone does, and Christmas is for spending time with the people who are most important to you.
Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays.

Family and loved ones are definitely one and the same, unless you have very close friends. Every Christmas Eve and Christmas Day me and my boyfriend spend time with our families. Spending time with loved ones around the Holidays is the most important thing of all.

My family are my loved ones and I regard loved ones as family. Geographics and logistics often make it impossible for all to spend the holidays together but there are other days which can be set aside. Whilst I don't celebrate Christmas, when it comes to festivals and holidays, I am driven by a sense of fairness and duty - it really doesn't hurt me to spend a few hours with those who need company or who would consider my refusing an invitation hurtful or even an affront.

For some people it is not one and the same, and for that I feel sadness. However, for myself it is one and the same. If you have to choose I would definitely say loved ones over family because you should enjoy the holidays. However I also feel that yu should make efforts with family at least part of the time.

If they are not the same - loved ones -first but my answer is that you should spend time with both or one day you will regret not spending time with your family members. Don't let that be on the on the day of that family member's funeral.

If it is one and the same, why are you asking the question?
Do you have some doubt?
If it is not one and the same, the answer is easy, loved ones!
Why go visit your family and pretend, with all the stress and dysfunction that goes with it?
If people were honest about their situations then there would be less drama this time of the year!
Merry X-Mas!

If it is possible try to do both.... that is if they are not the same. The dya can be long if you are with people that you have not seen in a long time or people that you don't get along with..... I like to make my apperance at the FAMILY gathering and then i like to go and spend time with close friends... Find what works for you.,

In my case it is one and the same, but only on my mom's side of the family. We never see my dad's side of the family.
However, I think it is more important to spend time with loved ones if they are not your family.
