An empty house, a lonely holiday, yep. A week from tomorrow it will all be over for another year.
Here's a suggestion. When you sit down to cry, have a notepad w you and tears and all, start writing a gratitude list.

I know, I know, you wanna smack me right now. Just start. List life itself, aspects of health that you have. Keep going until you get down to grateful for a refrigerator that works, a toilet that flushes and your new mattress, whatever.

This holiday sucks. Hey, Saturday the days will start getting longer. Be grateful for that great cup of coffee. Dear Catz, I have to do this every frickin' day of my life. It works.

Bless You Dear. Email me anytime.

Yes, crying helps. The coffee kicks in and I am up and ready to get on with the day and maybe this one will be better. ;-)

Yes, I just did last week. I feel relieved after a good cry. Crying is very healthy and good for you. I would rather have someone crying than lashing out in anger verbally, physically, or emotionally.

It's all good. Sometimes you just have to let it all out. I have been taking medication for a while and it does inhibit the need to cry, but I remember doing a lot of it before and feeling better for it afterwards.

It's been a real long time. I used to cry a lot last year but I have taken a different attitude in life so I'm content.

That's conscious or subconscious troubles/hurts. Woo woo woo, there there. If its in the past let it stay there. Today is a new try, try, try to let what ever it is go. If its troubles make a plan of attack. Tick off each obstacle. Be disciplined it may not get better overnite. Love all you cryers. Merry Christmas.
