Yes, a man was put on the moon in 1969. This was televised worldwide.

I suspect that the proof you seek will not be satisfied by my answer, or the moon rocks, either.

All I can say is that, if it were indeed a huge hoax perpetrated on the entire world, everyone in on it must have been dead, because the ability to keep such a massive conspiracy unknown is just about impossible when so many hundreds--thousands, even--of individuals are involved. It's inevitable that someone, somewhere along the line, is going to leak information.

By the way, omahadog, I think the word you meant is "astronomer," not "astrologist"--sorry, I've hung out with English professors too long! :-)

The first manned moon landing on Earth's Moon was the United States' Apollo 11 mission, commanded by Neil Armstrong accompanied by Edwin 'Buzz' Aldrin. Armstrong landed the lunar module Eagle on the surface of the Moon at 4:17:42 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time, July 20, 1969.

1. If it had been faked do you really think that nobody would have talked by now? The reward for revealing the landings as fake would be enormous, yet nobody has ever come forward.

2. Signals from the Apollo missions were received at several ground stations in countries other than the US (Britain and Australia for two). Do you really think that the US could keep people in those countries quiet if it had been a fake.

3. And this is the best evidence for it being real. The Soviet Union had more reason than anyone to want the moon landing to be fake. If they had thought for one second that they were fake the USSR would have been screaming "fake" ever since. They have not and are not screaming "fake". That's because they were real.

Just to add my three cents to the mix, the cost of trying to fake a moon landing would have been more expensive than what they spent to do it; the number of people who would have to be in on the conspiracy is beyond imagining; and, if faking it was going so well, there would have been no reason to stop.

It's a fun thing to read about, but no basis in fact.

there is a peice of electronic equipment of some kind that any amatuer astrologist can "track' on the moon it was left by one of the apollo crews.
Another thing at the height of the cold war if the moon landing could be denied in any way dont ya think the soviets would have done it??

Yes. Next you'll think Kennedy is actually alive in some storage locker in New Mexico.
