Tylenol has Acetaminophen in it. Product Like Advil has Ibuprofen in it. The name Tylenol and Advil is just a commercial name but the actual name of the medicine is Acetaminophen ----Tylenol.
Ibuprophen-----------Advil.
Do these pills work? Yes they do but it will depend of your body and the degree of the Headache you have.
For Some people like me, Tylenol will not work. I will need Ibuprofen. I remember when I took my wisdom tooth out, the doctor prescribed me Tylenol 3 which has a very strong of Acetaminophen in it but it did not take the pain away. I had to go back and he prescribed me Ibuprophen which was awesome. Also, if you are taking other medecines, you should contact a physician to see if you should take ibuprophen or acetaminophen

Acetaminophen is the chemical name for the active ingredient in Tylenol, and that's what I usually take. Advil (ibuprofen) doesn't help me at all. Excedrin (A combination of acetaminophen and aspirin) and Aleve (Naproxen sodium) also work well for me. You just have to try each one on (different) headaches to find out which is best for you.

No, headaches can be caused by a lot of things... - Eyestrain - Stress - Sleep Deprivation - Head Trauma - Brain Tumor - Infections - High Blood Pressure - Dehydration - Seizures - Hyperthyroidism * The only way you could get a headache from lack of Ibuprofen, is that if your addicted to it...

I actually don't take either of those. I put this stuff callled Tiger Balm on my temple and it works within like 15 mins. I know it's for muscle ache but it really does work. I didn't believe it till I tried.

Excedrin, which I believe is an acetaminophen- but not sure. It definitely works- and it's the ONLY drug that cures my cramps at "that time".
