I guess it is true, and as long as he admits it, that improves his integrity.

It is sick that every one thinks you should get a pass just because you came clean. No ex drug head should be a senator or a president. If bush is one as well then he should also not be in office. Its ok to give an ex drug user a pass and a second chance but not in office. Has anyone ever heard the word relapse. Anyone who spends all their money on it had a big problem with it. We can find someone who has no past in drugs to run our country.

He did confess to using cocaine. I have more respect for him that he admitted it now than if he denied it or waited to admit it. No one is perfect, but he does seem to be making the right moves lately.

He admitted it. I like a politician that admits to such things in their past. That shows a tendancy to be up front and honest with people. I don't like sneaky and hidden things about politicians that come out later. We all make mistakes and if we learn from our mistakes we become a better person for it. I believe Barack Obama made mistakes, he's human, and admitted them. He has done something about them and that is great. I wish many more people would admit to mistakes and take action to correct them.

yes he did. His claim is that as a poor black youth he did it on the rare occasions when he could afford it.
Nobody seemed to be concerned when rich boy GWB admitted his coke habit and with his money it was more like challenging his skull & bones buddies to how big of a line could you do in one snort.
