The Jesus I've read about would embrace Universal Health Care as the only possible policy.

There wasn't much known about health care in Jesus' day, but,for those paying attention,we've came a long way in the last 2000 years....

Hmmm... I don't think I want to answer for Jesus. If I was forced to though and if he wouldn't mind, I would say based on what little I know of him and his life, it seems that he would not reject it. I think it's become a necessity and the right thing to do. How could anyone deny anyone who is really sick the right to access medical care? The last thing any sick person needs to worry about is finances.

Yup, Jesus supports universal health care because it benefits the poor above all, and they were his followers and base.

I don't remember which part of the Bible referred to Jesus calling on the Romans to pay for others health care.
It seems to me that he was more impressed with personal charity, not with extorted redistribution so that some people don't have to work hard (and smart).

Jesus, being the son of God, would render universal health care unappealing.
We already have universal health care. It's called medicaid. If you can afford health insurance and choose not to buy it, that's your problem.

Jesus doesn't care about health care. He just shows up at the emergency room whenever he or his family is sick and then doesn't pay the bill.
Watch out that he doesn't hurt himself when he is cutting your lawn. He may sue you for the doctor bill.

such a paradox that the so-called "christian conservative" would rather piss billions of dollars away in the debacle of Iraq rather than provide health care for all of America's citizens for a fraction of the cost!!!!
