I wouldn't worry about your baby not getting enough nutrients, as they will take it from you. I am 9 months pregnant and I had the flu not too long ago and I was not eating or keeping anything down. I asked my doctor if it was a concern that I was losing weight ect. and they told me the baby will take what they need from you. At the same time, every pregnancy is different, so there really is no ryme or reason why you are more sick this time, just a different baby. My suggestions to help you with your morning sickness is to try some Ginger Root, that is very very good for morning sickness. or drinks some tea that has Ginger in it. Also, first thing in the morning, eat some crackers to try and keep in your stomach. I would also mention to your doctor how sick you have been, I do know that they can also prescribe you something if it gets too bad. Congrats to you and hope you feel better soon.

Your doctor can give you a medication to help with the morning sickness - also ask for chewable prenatals. They'll be eaiser to keep down and this way YOU KNOW your baby is getting enough nutrients. Also - a few tricks that I've learned is to take your prenatals at night, no matter the type. Try eating less more frequently and suck on a piece of candy or something when you start feeling nauseas. Good luck.

Alot of women lose weight the first few months. Perfectly normal. Just do the best you can. You'll be fine. Even baby books will tell you some percentage of women lose weight due to morning sickness. Good luck.

I've read about this before (i've never had a baby though) and maybe you should go to the doctor, especially if you are losing weight. THere is a name for it, but most people just overlook it thinking it as bad morning sickness, but this could continue your whole pregnancy

Morning sickness begins around week 6 of pregnancy, peak during week 8 or 9 and wane after week 13.The main cause of morning sickness is a combination of issues related to the chemical changes your body is going through. all pregnancies are different. many times women lose weight before they start gaining because of morning sickness. you should talk to your doctor though. you may need to be put on some anti-nausea medicine since yours is so severe.
I lost weight with all 5 of my pregnancies in the begining and was only nauseated...only actually vomited 3 times in all five pregnancies combined.
Good luck. I hope the morning sickness will pass soon.

Every pregnancy is different. My last pregnancy was just like yours. I'm now pregnant again and i wasn't half as bad this time. Your doctor can give you something to stop you throwing up, but I'm afraid apart from that, you'll just have to grin and bear it. My stopped about 14 weeks, although i still have rough days.
Don't worry too much about the weight loss. Its obviously what nature intended for us, or it wouldnt have given us morning sickness.

I had morning sickness everyday that I was pregnant with both of my girls. Right up to the end. Not Keeping down water is not a surprise. eat crackers and dry toast to help sooth your tummy. If you are really concerned talk to your Ob/Gyn. I believe they may even have a pill you can take to ease the tummy during pregnancy.
Congradulations!

I know how you are feeling...it sucks! I lost 10 lbs in my 1st trimester but ended up gaining 15lbs towards the end. Make sure your staying hydrated, drink Gatorade if you can't drink water and take your vitamins at at time when you aren't getting sick. I took mine laying in bed for the night.
Also,Try eating 5 small meals a day and sip on coke or spite or giner-ale and snack on crackers. Sour candies helped in a little.
My doctor also gave me some medicine to help, because it is very important to get your nutrition and water...talk to your doctor at your next visit.
Good luck!

Some poeple get like that!
I would say if your loosing weight then you should go see your doctor... they might be able to give you something to help subside the sickness and if not then i think you will have to go on supplements.
The baby takes all the nutrients anyway so itll be you feeling worse!!
Hope u feel better soon xxx
