9x^2= -36

Option c is the correct choice

49x^2+36=0
49x^2=-36
x^2= -36/49

In both cases, what you do to one side of the equal sign you must do to the other.
9x^2=-36
x^2=-4
x=+ or - 2 time the sqrt of -1, which is i
so it's c.

The second one is the same kind of problem
49x^2 = -36
7x^2 = -6
x = + or - 6/7 times the sqrt of -1, the imaginary i! so it, too, is c.
