Has any team fumbled, when trying to kill the clock by kneeling down? Has the opposition recovered the ball and ran it back for a TD?

It seems like I remember a game between I think the Giants and Eagles when the Giants quarterback went to make a handoff for a Giants victory, had the ball squirt loose, where it was picked up by Herman Edwards of the Eagles who took it all the way to the endzone for an Eagles touchdown and victory. Also when Tennessee won the National Championship in college football in 1999, they had a game vs Arkansas where the Arkansas quarterback went to kneel, had it deflect off his knee pads, causing a fumble recoved by the Volunteers. Tennessee then scored to win the game.

Yes, saw it happen twice. I can't remember the teams but one team was trying to send the game into overtime and they had it on its own 3 yd line. The QB bobbled the snap as the DEF blitzed and sacked him in the end zone for a safety. The other wasn't a knee, but it should have been, fumble, and the DEF scooped it up and ran about 30 yds for a TD

No it has not happened. The Giants Eagles game was not a kneel-down. It was a botched hand-off, and the Giants got ripped for NOT kneeling down.

Most likely happened to some unfortunate quarterback. The ball is snapped and if the quarterback drops it, it is a fumble.
