I think he will pull a Mark McGuire and avoid the questions. If he lies to Congress, he goes to jail.
I also hope enough people write to their Congressman to cause further inquiry. it's the only way we find out the true extent of abuse

Clemens won't have to say anything before Congress if he chooses not to. Remember, Bonds only got him self in trouble because he lied to a grand jury when he didn't have to say anything to them or anyone else. If Clemens is smart, and he will get good advise from his lawyers, he will keep is mouth shut.

If he lies he will end up in the same situation as Bonds. Plus it really doest matter, Clemens will probably end up retiring soon.

If called to testify, he can't simply "not show up" as someone suggested. However, he can choose not to incriminate himself by confessing to illegal activities - as is his right under the Constitution. My guess is he won't say anything worth hearing.

if he's smart he will take the 5th or not show up. otherwise anything he says can be used against him in any future legal action. also if he continues to deny something that is probably true then its pretty unlikely he will ever just come out and admit it. sort of like bonds never will.

He won't lie, but he won't tell congress what they want to hear. He still has the Fifth Amendment right to remain silent. He doesn't have to admit to anything, all he has to do is pull a Mark McGwire and say i don't want to talk about it.

He's better off just getting it out there. Be a man and admit that you wanted an edge, so you juiced up from time to time. He's as obvious as Barry Bonds.

He has to. If he doesn't he will be going to the cooler for a long time. Telling the truth in court isn't an option.

Hadn't heard he is testifying.
He will take an oath to tell the truth - if he doesn't that's perjury which is punishable. It's a big IF.
