I have some friends who don't respect their parents and teachers, though they are very nice

A lot of kids today have been brought up without being taught that you respect your parents, teachers, etc regardless of whether you agree with them or not. This was a basic family value that was instilled in my generation not only by family, but the the school and the church. We were taught that if we didn't do the right thing there would be consequences, and if the problem occur ed outside of home, we would face discipline again when we got home. You know what? All the people preaching spoil the rod are way off base. I was spanked when I got in trouble and it hasn't hurt me one bit.

Their parents are failing to bring up their kids to be the best person they can be. Kids go through a phase that questions authority. They "feel" adults should not tell them what to do because they know what they are doing. It is the typical kids trying to break away from their parents to become adults. The problem is kids don't always know is best for them and end up with problems that can effect the rest of their lives. God bless.

It all starts with parenting if they were not taught respect at a young age then they won't have it and they will not teach it to their kids it is a terrible circle. There are unfortunately a lot of bad parents out there who also had bad parents. Respect and how to behave have to be taught at a young age. I don't know what else to tell you.

I think their very upbringing was wrong.They may have got all indecent things/behaviour from bad company they keep.It's a shameful thing which is quite common these days.No teenager should grow up in this manner.Such teenagers will have a very time in real life when they mature(in age).

Most parents today don't have time to raise their children and don't want to raise their children. So their children turn out to be disrespectful teenagers and unsuccessful adults.
