Is a doctor's blood test acurate enough to detect pregnancy 4 days before period, or should I wait to go?

If you are already going to the doctor, then a blood test 4 days before is fine- but there's ALWAYS a chance of it being a false negative. If there's no other need to go to the doctor, then just take a home pregnancy test and then take another one the day your period is due (if you don't get it).

Blood tests can usually get a good result the week before your period. Not from conception. But its not the case for all women, some take longer, until the week of their periods.

A urine test wont show until the week you'd be on your period, and in some cases not until the week after. The early tests only work early for about 40% of women.

If you are going to the trouble of having a blood test, I would wait until you've missed a period. You might as well.

Doesn't four days before your period means about ten days after your egg became available for fertilization?
Pregnancy is pregnancy is pregnancy, once it happens, it's as real and definite as any time during the term.

Pregnancy tests are generally accurate almost from conception. You could go anytime, no need to wait if you don't want to.
