Depends on their job outside the home...are they employed full time or part time?
If you are asking how many hours a week a stay-at-home Mom works, it varies...but generally it's far more than the typical 40 of someone who works outside the home (of course some outside workers work over 40 hrs/wk at their jobs also...40 is just considered the average hours for someone who has a fulltime job).

Which job are you talking about?
I have my 40 - 60 hours a week in my paying job.
Then there is the job I don't make a salary. - There is waking up the kids in the morning, making breakfast, getting them off to school. Then when they get home making a snack, helping with homework, checking homework, referring fights, laundry, cleaning toliets, vacuuming, getting them baths, reading the story, kissing them good night, cleaning the kitchen, sweeping the floor, etc. etc. etc.
Luckly I work from home, so I have flexibility in my hours.
The best job in the world is wife and mother. But the pay coudl be a bit better. :)

The same as men do. Being a husband and a father is also full time job just like being a mother and a wife is for a women.

hmmm... I'd say... more than 8, lol! =)
and this is every day... Sunday through Saturday...
7 days a week, lol =)
hmmm...
for the sake of it, let's just say, 8 x 7 = 56 hours a week =)
these figures are for stay at home moms... or you mean out in a work place???

That's usually up to your employer. However, it's reaching the point where people are being ask and expected to work more than a standard 40hr. week. People are going to have to put their foot down on this one. Employers will abuse their employees if they let them.
